The Atlanta Braves re-sign Tom Glavine
The Braves have signed Tom Glavine to a 1-year, $8 million dollar contract as he decided to return home to pitch. Glavine started 34 games last season for the Mets and he was 13-8 with a 4.45 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP. The Braves will have a very strong rotation for next season as long as they keep the big 4 of Smoltz, Hudson, Glavine and James. Glavine will be adding to his Hall of Fame resume’ in which he will no doubt enter the Hall of Fame as a Atlanta Brave. He has now started 669 games in his NFL career and he is 303-199 with a 3.51 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP. He has worked 4,350 innings in his major league career and he has allowed 4,231 hits, walked 1,463 batters and whiffed 2,570 strikeouts.
